Colin Mills and Ursula Henz as visiting scholars at NEPS from October 2010 to March 2011

Since October 2010, Colin Mills, Nuffield College, Oxford, and Ursula Henz, LSE, London, are visiting scholars at the National Educational Panel Study in Bamberg.

The European Research Council (ERC) awarded an extremely prestigious Advanced Investigators Grant to Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Hans-Peter Blossfeld (University of Bamberg).

The first main surveys of 5th- and 9th-grade classes in the NEPS study “Educational Processes in Germany” started mid-November 2010.

Information meeting for parent associations

On November 30, 2010, the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS) presented its study on "Bildungsverläufe in Deutschland" [Educational Careers in Germany] to representatives of Bavarian parent associations.

Framework Programme for the Promotion of Empirical Educational Research: First meeting of the research projects coordination center

The Projektträger im Deutschen Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (PT-DLR, Project Management Agency – part of the German Aerospace Center) invited the coordination centers of the Framework Programme to a first meeting on November, 18 and 19, 2010. The intention was to develop a common viewpoint on the role and the tasks of the coordination centers.
