During her visit at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi), Prof. Dr. Pam Sammons, Department of Education at the University of Oxford, informed herself about the work at the Institute and the usage of data of the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS).

In the course of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hans-Günther Roßbach, LIfBi Director, and Dr. Jutta von Maurice, Executive Director of Research at the LIfBi, presented especially the NEPS as an internationally unique longitudinal study. Moreover, they introduced further projects of the Institute, such as, for example, "ReGES–Refugees in the German Educational System", "INSIDE–Inclusive Education in Lower Secondary Schools in Germany", and "BiLO–Educational Landscape of Upper Franconia". The meeting was completed by an exchange about shared research interests, which was also attended by Max Nachbauer, Doctoral Fellow at the Bamberg Graduate School of Social Sciences (BAGSS). At BAGSS, Sammons had previously given a guest lecture on the topic of “Measuring Students’ Experiences of Secondary School and Their Effects on Academic Outcomes at GCSE: Findings from the EPPSE 3-16+ Study in England”.
