LIfBi at ECER 2014 in Porto

The European Educational Research Association (EERA) celebrated its 20-year existence by hosting the European Conference on Educational Research (ECER 2014) from September 1 to 5 in Porto (Portugal).

Dr. Götz Lechner of the LIfBi team explains the use potential of NEPS data to one of the conference participants.
Overall, about 2,500 educational scientists from 75 nations met on the subject of “The Past, the Present and Future of Educational Research in Europe”. The Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi) presented the NEPS convention booth: Besides scientists from Italy, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece, Austria, and—of course—Germany, attendees from Ukraine, Malta, Iceland, Portugal, France, Argentina, Sweden, Bulgaria, Serbia, Belarus, Bangladesh, and Latvia showed great interest in the NEPS data. These data could thus soon gain further currency internationally if those foreign scientists sign further data use agreements.
