New RDC newsletter "LIfBi data No. 16" published

The biannual newsletter “LIfBi data” provides regular information about data releases, events, and other news from the Research Data Center of the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (RDC LIfBi). The newsletter can be received by e-mail; subscribing to and unsubscribing from the mailing list is possible via our website.

From the contents:

  • NEPS Conferences: Looking back at the 9th International NEPS Conference and looking ahead to this year's NEPS Conference on December 11-12, 2025 at the LIfBi in Bamberg
  • NEPS Publication Award: Congratulations to Dr. Emilija Meier-Faust (DIW Berlin) and Prof. Dr. Rainer Watermann (FU Berlin) on receiving the award and announcement of a new round of nominations for outstanding scientific work based on NEPS data
  • NEPS Data Trainings: Program with six free online courses in 2025 published including the new option of arranging demand-specific training sessions with the RDC LIfBi (“Training-on-Demand”)
  • Forum4MICA: Further development into the central consulting platform for individual questions on handling the NEPS data
  • Data Portfolio: Overview of the new Scientific Use Files published since the last newsletter plus a list of the data releases planned for the first half of 2025
  • Call for Modules: Invitation to submit proposals for new NEPS question modules on the topic of “AI-based systems in educational contexts: Motives for use, knowledge, trust” until October 30, 2025
  • Data Use Agreements: Instructions on how to apply for data access and how to retrieve all information regarding one's own contract situation
  • Statistics: Development of the number of data users and registered research projects from 2011 to 2024
  • Publications: Selection of recently published articles, book contributions and monographs based on NEPS and ReGES data
