NEPS at the Bavarian Congress for Vocational Education and Training in Nuremberg

12/13/2012

The NEPS ensures acceptance in conversation with teachers and students of stage 5 “From Upper Secondary School to Higher Education, Vocational Training, or the Labor Market” and 6 “From Vocational Training to the Labor Market”.

The Bavarian Congress for Vocational Education and Training and the associated Vocational and Education Fair took place from December 10 to 13, 2012, in Nuremberg. This event offered the NEPS a platform to get into conversation with multipliers and gatekeepers in stages 5 and 6 at the transition to higher education or the labor market.

During the 3-day presence of the NEPS at the Congress for Vocational Education and Training, NEPS staff members Manfred Egner and Dr. Götz Lechner met study participants as well as students, their parents, and teachers. This way of making direct contact with the NEPS is thus more than just an aspect of panel care. Additionally, through contact with multipliers and its perceptible presence at congresses and fairs, the NEPS will increase the acceptance of this nationally and internationally unique study in the future, also among those currently not involved.
