Short lectures and panel discussion on the subject of “educational paths”: invitation of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW) and the University of Bamberg

LIfBi Director Prof. Dr. Cordula Artelt presents the National Education Panel Study (NEPS) as part of the meeting of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW) on June 28, 2019. Other lecturers on the subject of "educational paths" include former LIfBi Director Prof. Dr. Sabine Weinert (University of Bamberg/BAdW) and the first NEPS Principal Investigator Prof. Dr. Dr. Hans-Peter Blossfeld (University of Bamberg/BAdW). The short lectures will take place at Universität 2 at 1 p.m. and are open to academy members and all members of the University of Bamberg.

In the afternoon the topic “Meister oder Master? Bildungswege in Zeiten von Akademikerschwemme und Fachkräftemangel [Meister or Master? Educational paths in times of overabundance of third-level graduates and shortage of skilled workers]” will be discussed. The panel debate with Hans-Peter Blossfeld will take place in the auditorium of the University of Bamberg from 5 p.m.

As part of its series "Die Akademie zu Gast in ... [The Academy visits …]", the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities, together with a Bavarian university, once a year invites guests to discuss current topics in science and research.
