The publication by Aileen Edele, Research Assistant at the Institute for Educational Quality Improvement (IQB) at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Prof. Dr. Petra Stanat, Director of the IQB, was published in the February 2016 edition of the Journal of Educational Psychology (original title “The role of first-language listening comprehension in second-language reading comprehension.”). Dr. Janina Söhn from the Sociological Research Institute (Soziologisches Forschungsinstitut, SOFI) at the University of Göttingen examined, the extent to which education and employment trajectories of adult immigrants are uninterrupted after migration to Germany (original title “Back to school in a new country?
