Science for the welfare and benefit of people—Leibniz President visits LIfBi

2/15/2016
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Kleiner, President of the Leibniz Association since July 2014, is paying a first official and personal visit to every institute of the Leibniz Association—one after another. On Friday, February 12, he was a guest at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi).

After having visited already more than 50 Leibniz Institutes, Kleiner stated that LIfBi was indeed “a very typical Leibniz Institute”. In the best sense, LIfBi were committed to the Leibniz Association’s motto—“theoria cum praxi: science for the welfare and benefit of people”.

Currently, the Leibniz Association links up 88 independent research institutes. Their focus extends from the natural, engineering, and environmental sciences across the economic, spatial, and social sciences to the humanities.
