NEPS painting competition was a huge success

12/21/2015
“What is the most important thing that you have learnt so far in your life?” We asked this question to all participants of the National Educational Panel Study as part of our painting competition. The winners were picked following the jury’s decision and a prize draw. The most beautiful pictures now feature in the NEPS calendar of 2016.
“This is drawn incredibly well!”, “It’s astonishing what the artist depicted here!” or “I really can’t decide on just one picture!” were just some of the comments made by the jurors of the NEPS painting competition. In summer 2015, we asked all 60,000 study participants to think about the question “What is the most important thing that you have learnt so far in your life?” and to send us their paintings. Over 1,100 illustrations of people from all NEPS studies reached us. After all, nine participants were over 60 and roughly 100 younger than 4 years old. We were especially surprised that more than 280 young adults aged between 19 and 26 submitted their paintings. We were definitely delighted by such a high participation across all NEPS studies!
