Since 2007, the German centers for teacher training have joined forces as part of a voluntary cooperative network. Among other things, some of the key aims of this network include the exchange of information regarding developments concerning teacher training in Federal-State comparison as well as strengthening the professionalization of teaching staff at the operative level of teacher training centers. Annual meetings at alternating locations address basic research questions concerning all areas of teacher training and promote the advancement of quality assurance for teacher education programs at university. In this context, LIfBi had the opportunity to present approaches and progress of their studies, especially the National Educational Panel Study. In addition, first findings were discussed with practitioners as well as researchers from the field of teacher training.
