NEPS data as basis for explanation of migrants’ educational success in the DFG Magazine “forschung SPEZIAL DEMOGRAFIE“

5/7/2013

Prof. Dr. Frank Kalter from the University of Mannheim and Benjamin Schulz, Research Assistant at the Mannheim Center for European Social Research, are drawing on NEPS data for their research as part of DFG-funded projects “Ethnical networks and migrants' acquisition of education over the life course” and “Social networks and ethnical identification of adolescent migrants”.

In “forschung SPEZIAL DEMOGRAFIE”, a special edition of the magazine “forschung” published by the German Research Association (DFG) as part of Science Year 2013—The Demographic Opportunity, some of the results of these projects are illustrated in plain language.
