Conference on Measuring Competencies in Business and Economics

2/7/2012
The international conference “Modeling and Measuring Competencies in Business and Economics” was held in Berlin from February 2-4, 2012.

The conference was organized by the WiwiKom project (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Humboldt University of Berlin) and the NEPS. Three working groups discussed problems of linguistic and cultural translation of international test instruments, methodological aspects of booklet designs as well as issues of curricular validity for German study programs and the modeling of competence levels. The results will contribute to the adaptation of international economics tests which will be used to measure subject-specific competencies of business and economics students in NEPS stage 7 (“From Higher Education to the Labor Market”).
