Informational Meeting with DL-President Josef Kraus and Federal Chairwoman of the VLW Dr. Angelika Rehm

1/13/2012
On January 12, 2012, the President of the German Teachers Federation (Deutscher Lehrerverband, DL), Josef Kraus, and the Federal Chairwoman of the German Association of Teachers at Secondary Schools of Economics (Bundesverband der Lehrerinnen und Lehrer an Wirtschaftsschulen e.V., VLW) gathered detailed information on the National Educational Panel Study on-site in Bamberg.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Hans-Peter Blossfeld, Principal Investigator of NEPS, gave an overview of the framework and structure of the longitudinal study and explained its key aims. However, he also pointed out the limits of NEPS and the tasks that lie outside the scope of this infrastructure project sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. In the following discussion these specific aspects and other questions were discussed in more detail.
