Up until mid-April, about 3,000 children will work on 30-minute tasks on the natural sciences in individual play situations and also have their verbal competencies assessed (comprehension of German-language words and phrases) during 2-day sessions in their Kindergartens. Kindergarten managers and staff will also complete questionnaires. The children's parents will be interviewed by telephone between the end of January and mid-May.
