Canadian expert on education informed himself about the National Educational Panel Study

4/16/2011
The president of the Canadian Council on Learning (CCL), Dr. Paul Cappon, visited the NEPS on April 15, 2011.

The National Educational Panel Study is a very ambitious and probably the largest study in the field of education he knows of, said the president and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Council on Learning (CCL) after the presentation of the NEPS by the head of the project Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Hans-Peter Blossfeld. He was very interested in the organization of the panel and the work of the pillars. After his questions have been answered, Paul Cappon presented the work of the CCL. The CCL is independent of Government and it is their job to provide Canadians with the most current information about Canada’s effective approaches to learning and to support the exchange of knowledge and information. There are various activities to support lifelong learning. The goal is to build up a learning culture, explained Paul Cappon. NEPS and CCL will continue to exchange in order to improve the framing conditions for empirical educational research.
