<p>Andreas Ortenburger, Dr. phil., has been working as research assistant at the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW) in Hannover, Germany, since December 2010. He contributed to several empirical projects on the conditions of studying, academic success, quality development and evaluation in higher education. Andreas studied social sciences with a focus on applied empirical social research at the Ruhr University of Bochum. After his studies he worked as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Wuppertal and at the Free University of Berlin, where he earned his PhD with a thesis on teacher education and professionalization.</p><p>As part of Stage 7 (Higher Education and Transition to Work) of the NEPS, which is based at the German Centre for Higher Education and Science Research (DZHW), he was responsible for the conception and development of survey instruments for Start Cohort 5 in the operational management from 2016 to 2022. In addition, he works in the Panel of Teacher Education Students (Lehramtsstudierendenpanel, LAP), a BMBF-funded supplementary study to NEPS-SC5 in cooperation with LIfBi. &nbsp;<br><br><br></p>
