Some items in competence tests are being used in several studies.
Unfortunately, these variable names in Starting Cohort 5 differ from names assigned 
in the additional studies Thuringia (TH) and Baden-Wuerttemberg (BW).



Therefore, we provide a correspondig list of reused variables to address this issue:

Release Notes: 

1. Release
- Das aktuelle Release ist ein Update und enthält, im Vergleich zur Vorversion, keine neuen Daten
- Die inkrementierte Versionsnummer wurde inkrementiert um die Struktur der Erhebungszeitpunkte widerzuspiegeln
- Kleinere Datenkorrekturen wurden eingearbeitet (z.B. Mehrfachnennungen bei der berufl. Ausbildung der Eltern bereinigt)

2. KFT
- Das Update beinhaltet nun die korrekt kodierten Items des Kognitiven Fähigkeitstests (KFT) sowie die testheftspezifischen, gewichteten und z-standardisierten Summenscores. 
- Die Daten aus Erhebungszeitpunkt 1 sind Basis für die Standardisierung in Erhebungszeitpunkt 2
- Die zwei Testversionen haben unterschiedliche Schwierigkeiten (d.h., Summenscores weisen verschiedene Mittelwerte auf)
- Empfehlung: Standardisierte Summenscores verwenden

Release Notes: 

1. Release
- The current release is an update of the previous version and does not contain additional data
- The version number was incremented to match the wave structure
- Minor corrections to data have been implemented (e.g. multiple specification of parental education corrected)
2. CogAT
- The update now contains the correctly coded items for the cognitive abilities test (CogAT/KFT) as well as the test version-specific, weighted sum scores (z-standardized)
- Data from wave 1 serves as a reference for the standardization in wave 2
- The two test versions have shown to be of different difficulty (i.e., sum scores have different means in this sample)
- Recommended to use the standardized sum scores
