General notes:

	- the procedure for identifying survey terminations has been completely adjusted; 
	  values that were incorrectly coded as 0 ("not specified") for so-called "dummy 
	  batteries" so far - even when a respondent could not answer the corresponding 
	  question due to filtering or termination - have been uniformly recoded to the 
	  missing code -99 ("filtered"); this leads to a significant improvement in the 
	  detection rate and to changes in the corresponding indicator variables *x80260* 
	  ("Survey Termination"), which are provided in several datasets

	- the previous Scientific Use File (Version 1.0.0) contained incorrectly encoded 
	  characters for German special characters and umlauts in the SPSS datasets; this 
	  problem has been fixed

 	- the variables tx80130 ("NEPS-ADIAB: Match type") and tx80132 ("NEPS-ADIAB: 
	  Administrative data available") in the "TargetMethods" dataset, as well as 
	  tx80533 ("Data available: NEPS-ADIAB") in the "CohortProfile" dataset were
	  newly added; they contain information on the linkage to administrative data 
	  from the IAB and refer to the linked data package "NEPS-SC8-ADIAB 7524_v1"

CohortProfile:
	- information from the list of children/students (filled by the school) stored 
	  in the variables tx820* has been moved from the "TargetMethods" dataset to 
	  the "CohortProfile" dataset

pTarget:
	- variables t401152_g* ("first citizenship") and t401153_g* ("second citizenship")
	  from wave 1 were recoded using the open-ended responses from variable t401154
	  (not in Scientific Use File)

pTargetAssessments:
	- integration of a new dataset into the Scientific Use File; contains the 
	  information from the teachers' individual assessments of their students 

xPlausibleValues:
	- integration of a new dataset into the Scientific Use File; contains exemplary 
	  "Plausible Values" generated for selected competency variables from the 
	  "xTargetCompetencies" dataset

	  in the *Data Manual* on the documentation website of Starting Cohort 8
	- further explanations on the sampling and the implementation of the surveys
