The current Scientific Use File (doi:10.5157/NEPS:SC5:14.0.0) contains newly added information from the fourteenth wave of the NEPS university students’ starting cohort. The survey was conducted as an online interview (CAWI) from November to December 2018 without competence measurements among the target persons of the basic sample and the teacher oversampling. Detailed information on the realization of the survey can be found in the corresponding Field Report on the website in the section „Documentation“. A new feature of the Scientific Use File is a dataset with generated plausible values for selected competence measures. Additional explanations on the current data edition are provided in the Release Notes. Furthermore, the Data Manual offers a general introduction to the research data of the student cohort as well as links to further materials.
