The NEPS Network

A National Educational Panel aiming to carry out diachronic (longitudinal) research on central questions in education needs to integrate the theoretical and methodological approaches of various disciplines (such as educational science, educational psychology, developmental psychology, sociology of education, economics of education, employment research, poverty research, research on childhood and adolescence, family research, gender research, migration studies, demography, cultural research, survey methods, as well as diagnostics and test theory). This is the reason for bringing together an interdisciplinary consortium of research institutes, research groups, and leading researchers. The result is a network of excellence linking up a wide network of various competencies and experiences in longitudinal research to be found at different locations covering all necessary tasks of the National Educational Panel Study:

The organizational structure of the NEPS Network is set down by the Rules and Regulations. The full document is available for download here.

The Rules and Regulations apply within the scope of the NEPS Network Charter (download full document here).
